Monster face

A tale of a mermaid and 2 brothers

For the ongoing series of the coloring pages, I give you a mermaid. Aiden did this version of her then left her flesh as is because we don't have a flesh colored blendy pen. Sad times, I know.

Then, with Aiden's permission (that Aiden would give Keegan premission to modify his picture is shocking in itself), Keegan made the mermaid look like this and titled the picture "Harry Potter and the half-blood princess."

Sounds like a billion dollar enterprise in the making, eh?

Velvet art

Aiden got a package of blendy pens for his birthday and the boys set out to (together! gasp!) color all of the velvet art included in the package. These are Keegan's works of art.

You are my sunshine!

Keegan colored this for me today in class at church. He said that even though it doesn't look exactly like us, it is him and me enjoying that sunshine.

The floor of the splash zone

To celebrate the last day of school, we met up with a bunch of friends from school at Indian Sprints Metropark. This is Keegan's rendition of the floor of the Splash Zone -- one of the best parts about that Metropark!

Color wheel and he learns a cool crafty trick

Keegan was struggling to get his circle "right" (his word) when I stopped by the school during art time. I grabbed a paper plate that was in the classroom and showed him how to trace it with his black paint so his circle would look the way he wanted it to. The result is ..... "just right", he says.
